Adam & I left Shanghai last week, and while it was neat to experience… we were honestly happy to head to Bali! I’ve seen my share of smelly cities, and it let me tell you – it was up there. What I did enjoy was visiting a few temples, trying out some street food, and visiting a water village outside the city – it was super touristy, but looked the way ancient china does in the movies. ![]()
I improved my skills with chopsticks, while Adam plodded away eating with the serving spoon – there were no forks to be found! He wasnt’t too happy about that.
Now we are in Bali, and it smells of incense & flowers in the streets, and we’re never too far from a beach. We are so happy to be here.

I hope you’re all having a good day!

My super duper awesome second shooter
Their gorgeous ceremony was at Holy Rosary Cathedral – here they are exchanging rings, lighting the unity candle, and holding hands as a new family with Eric’s daughter Callie.
Following the ceremony, we began family portraits at Stanley Park – the rain had stopped and the sun was coming out – but boy was it COLD! (I’m talking colder than ‘it’s-snowing-cold ‘!) The icy wind was lashing at these troopers as we blasted through as quickly as we could.
We sent the wedding party and family members back the warmth of the limos, and decided to head back to their hotel for wedding party portraits. I kept Summer & Eric outside for a few more minutes – and I was so glad I did. I don’t know how Summer managed to not freeze to death, but she powered through…. and somehow managed to look super glamorous instead of cold! Here are a few of my favourites:

Back in the warmth of the hotel, we finished off with more of the whole wedding party:

And a few more of Summer & Eric too:
Reception details:
First dance- I didn’t notice until later that one of the kids had shot a confetti gun in Summer’s face right as I shot this. So awesome. Also, confetti guns are really cool!

Melissa’s bridesmaids flew in from all over the world for the wedding. Now that’s friendship!
