Rachel & Jeremy’s wedding was my very last of 2011 (which will be obvious once I mention that it took place on New Year’s Eve!), and it was such a good way to end the year. The day was so well planned, super classy, and fun – their wedding party was especially awesome during our chilly winter portrait session.
Big thanks to my second shooter for the day, Elaine, and to Rachel & Jeremy for asking me to capture such an important day in their lives.
I started off the morning with the girls at Spa Utopia:

Elaine was at the church capturing the boys pre-ceremony:
Rachel looked sooooo gorgeous coming down the aisle with her dad:
Fun fact: Mid ceremony, it began to hail like crazy outside. The whole church was echoing with the little pitter-patter of hail on the skylights. I was thinking “There goes my awesome outdoor portrait location.” ![]()

Lucky for us, the hail stopped and the sun came out just in time – for the perfect light & skies. I was so loving the winter look in this field that I made Rachel and her awesome-but-freezing-cold bridesmaids trample through the damp grass in stilettos. Big thanks to these ladies!!!![]()

Love.

Their reception was at the Delta Airport Hotel – and it was stunning! The black and white theme went perfectly with the light fixtures in the ballroom, and was the perfect look for New Year’s.
